In an apprenticeship programme you’ll be able to develop the needed skills for a career in finance while gaining a recognised qualification. Most apprenticeships include an AAT qualification that is recognised across sectors making you a strong candidate for potential employers.
What is an AAT qualification?
The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification is a globally recognised, practical accounting and bookkeeping certification designed to equip individuals with real-world finance skills. It provides a structured pathway that is respected by employers and acts as a stepping stone to chartered accountancy.

Inspire ATA is an award-winning apprenticeship employer. We have two finance roles available for individuals who want to start a career in finance, both including an AAT qualification:
Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 (AAT)
This role is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within a business. An accounts or finance assistant’s work could include basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry.

Assistant Accountant Level 3 (AAT)
Integral to the efficient and accurate operation of the financial function, assistant accountants contribute significantly to the organisation's day-to-day financial activities. art of their role will involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements.
