September support staff planning for school
As we approach the final term of 2025, you will probably be thinking about your September recruitment already.
One of the ways you can make sure your school is fully equipped for the next school year is by planning ahead and reviewing your hiring plan early.
Inspire ATA can support your organisation in hiring the right staff for your school through our end-to-end staffing solutions. We offer a range of programmes for schools and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) to help prepare you for September.
Inspire ATA’s staffing solutions
Inspire ATA work using the flexi-job apprenticeship model. Through which schools can “host” an apprentice while Inspire ATA acts as the employer. This means that schools are able to hire with ease without impacting headcounts or budgets. It also means that all paperwork, holidays, sick pay, disciplinary actions, grievance and safeguarding is handled by Inspire ATA giving you peace of mind.
Through the flexi-job model you can also hire an apprentice short term (minimum 3 months) so if you only need cover for a few months, we can support you in this. Read how Meadowhead School utilise Inspire ATA in their hiring process!
Programmes offered through Inspire ATA
Inspire ATA offer a wide range of apprenticeship programmes for schools. Here is a selection of some of our most popular programmes:
Teaching Assistant Level 3
Teaching Assistants work in Primary, Special and Secondary education across all age ranges, encompassing special educational needs and emotional vulnerabilities. The primary role of the Teaching Assistant is to support the class teacher to enhance pupils’ learning either in groups or individually, ensuring pupils understand the work set.
Teaching Assistant SEND Pathway Level 3
According to the Department for Education's 2020 publication, 'Special Educational Needs in England' approximately 15% of all students (age 3-19) had Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Of these students with SEND about 22% had statements or educational health care plans (EHCP). This highlights the growing need for support in the sector and the requirement for qualified Teaching Assistants within schools.
This programme helps to resolve the skills gap that is prevalent withing SEND education and aims to help tackle the SEND crisis. This programme contributes towards the DfE's recommendations that all schools have SEND responsibilities or specialism in their setting.
School Staff & Community Wellbeing Champion Level 3
Host a wellbeing apprentice to demonstrate that you take staff wellbeing seriously, opening a supportive network for staff to address wellbeing and mental health needs. By being on this programme, your apprentice will be able to create a wellbeing strategy leading to a wellbeing focused culture within your workforce.
School Business Professional Level 4
School Business Professionals (SBPs) perform a role which is unique to schools, administering and managing the financial, site and support services within the school context. They provide essential support to school leadership teams, implementing their financial and business decisions.
Learning and Skills Teacher Level 5
The Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) is ‘dual-professional’, having first achieved competence in a vocational or subject specialism and then subsequently trained as a teacher. LSTs are responsible for planning and delivering learning that is current, relevant, challenging, and that inspires learners to engage and achieve their full potential. LSTs ensure the physical, psychological and social wellbeing of learners.
Inspire ATA works with high-quality training providers to deliver a wide range of training programmes through a blended learning approach that is tailored to each learner's needs.
