Get ahead of September Recruitment with Inspire ATA

The summer term is underway, and this academic year will be over before we know it. Now is the perfect time to start planning your September recruitment. Learn how Inspire ATA can support your school in recruiting new talent.

Inspire ATA Staffing Solutions for Schools

Inspire ATA recruit and hire through the flexi-job apprenticeship model through which Inspire ATA acts as the employer of the apprentice and your organisation hosts them. This approach allows you to grow your team with minimal risk, reduced admin and minimal impact to your headcount or budget.

Our experienced team is here to support you and your apprentices every step of the way developing talent, building skills, and helping your business thrive.

Term-time recruitment

While with traditional apprenticeship recruitments employers must hire the apprentice for the full duration of their programme, the flexi-job apprenticeship model allows employers to hire apprentices for short-term engagements (minimum 3 months). This is because your school is not considered the employer, but Inspire ATA is.

This means that your organisation benefits from full flexibility in the employment, allowing you to recruit according to your needs or only for term time if required.

Using your pupil premium

The pupil premium grant provides funding to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in state-funded schools in England. Schools receive a set amount per pupil that fits the specific funding criteria.

While the pupil premium is given per child based on specific criteria, the school does not have to use this grant to benefit the pupil alone and can use the premium for elements that can benefit the school.

Schools can utilise their pupil premium allowance to recruit new teaching assistants and other specialist staff to improve their provision.

Using your PE and Sports Premium

Unlike the pupil premium, the PE and Sports premium cannot be used to hire teaching assistants directly. However, through Inspire ATA’s hosting model, schools are able to secure teaching assistants using their PE and Sports Premium.

This is because Inspire ATA acts as the employer of the apprentice, meaning these teaching assistants now count as external contractors similar to hiring external sports coaches.
