The education sector is a varied one with a range of roles both in the classroom and outside of it. While many view the sector as having roles such as teachers or administrators, having a robust financial team is key to ensure the efficient daily running of a school.
Financial teams in education
School budgets are one of the most pressing issues in schools. Many schools face difficulties in managing their budget while ensuing they are able to provide the best support to their pupils. Having in-house finance personnel will help your school to manage its budget well through a deep understanding of the sector and your unique school’s needs.
Inspire ATA’s Finance Roles
Inspire ATA offer two finance pathways you can recruit new candidates through, both including recognised AAT certifications:
Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 (AAT)
An Accounts or Finance assistant is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within a school. An Accounts or Finance Assistant’s work could include basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry.
Assistant Accountant Level 3 (AAT)
Integral to the efficient and accurate operation of the financial function, Assistant Accountants contribute significantly to the organisation's day-to-day financial activities. Part of their role will involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements.
