22 year old Sukhpreet, is a Teaching Assistant apprentice through Inspire ATA and has her placement with Manorfield Primary School. She loves being able to have a positive impact working with the children. Her apprenticeship is delivered by Inspire ATA, a flexi-job apprenticeship agency that employs and supports apprentices across the UK.

In a recent meeting with her tutor, Sukhpreet shared her story.

“The reason for choosing an apprenticeship was because you get to learn on the job and you get paid! I’m also working with one specific child and being able to understand what they need and creating a bond with them has been incredible. You don’t realise how much impact you can have even in the smallest ways. Seeing the children smile and hearing them laugh is just the best feeling. My work environment is amazing, if there’s anything that’s difficult you get the help and support you need.

This was my second time on an apprenticeship programme. The first course I signed up for didn’t work out for me. But Inspire gave me a second chance and I’m so happy with what I'm doing now. Thank you so much for giving me another opportunity, it just goes to show how invested you guys are in supporting people to be the best they can be.

The skills for life I've learnt during this apprenticeship is Communication. Learning, patience and being passionate, it’s the core of your why you do what you do. And making sure you enjoy what you do.

I am pleased to say Manorfield has offered me a full-time placement.”
